Can you help me answer a question about flights?

I brew my own beer and I am taking a domestic flight from Knoxville, TN to Fort Luaderdale, FL and I want to take two pints for a friend to try out. I can find anything online to see if that’s ok…all I can find is information about lighters and razors, etc…So is homebrew acceptable?

If it is sealed and not in a carry on, you may be okay. Contact your airline for details.

It is acceptable–alcohols, even half empty bottles are allowed, even as cabin baggage. Just make sure the brew is packed well. But to avoid any questions, it is advisable to take the stuff in check-in baggage.

As long as you’re not drunk, you’re free with any alcohol. Only worry if you’re going to a country which prohibits it.

Call the airline and ask them. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, you can bring it. Carry it and show it to security.

I saw an episode of Airport or whatever that show on television is. This gentleman wanted to bring wine to his mother’s funeral and they did not allow him to. I suggest you call the airline first and double check with them on their regulations. Is shipping it ahead of time an option?
