When using a second fermentor for beer, do I need to use priming sugar in the second fermentor?
I’m going to be trying a second fermentor for my homebrew today and I don’t know if I should use priming sugar now or wait till I am ready to bottle.

Do not add priming sugar to the secondary fermenter.
Wait to use the priming sugar when you are ready to bottle.
Add priming sugar right before bottling (make sure to boil it in a cup of water or beer first, don’t add it dry).
If you add the priming sugar to secondary, it will ferment out and very slightly raise the abv%. It will then bottle flat if you don’t add more priming sugar before bottling.
The priming sugar is added just before bottling, so the remaining yeast in the beer will convert it into just the right amount of carbonation for your bottled beers.
Secondary fermentor is for racking off the sediment, letting the beer finish fermenting, and clarification.Do not add priming sugar until ready to bottle. Also, when siphoning from primary to secondary fer mentor,do not allow any splashing. The main reason I use a secondary ferment er is for less sediment in the finished product and the reduction in off flavors in the finished product.Add priming sugar to secondary fer mentor only when you’re ready to bottle.Good luck.
Yep, the same as everyone else - wait until bottling.
